How to Cook Everything Vegetarian

The app version of Mark Bittman’s inventive vegetarian cookbook is here—and you can even e-mail the shopping list.
Acclaimed New York Times culinary aficionado Mark Bittman is bringing his award-winning cookbook How to Cook Everything Vegetarian to the iPhone app world. Offering a massive collection of vegetarian cuisine ideas from chickpea fries to cheese soufflés, the cookbook’s ingenuity has been praised from Mario Batali to Dr. Oz. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay said: “How do you make an avid meat eater (like me) fall in love with vegetarian cooking? Make Mark Bittman’s How to Cook Everything Vegetarian part of your culinary library.”

The digital version contains the same 2,000 photographed recipes as his cookbook, but the app gives you the option to instantly e-mail yourself the shopping list you’ll need to make each recipe, as well as share what you’re cooking with friends and family via Facebook and Twitter. You can also e-mail a recipe for free to an interested friend or family member up to 10 times a month—a quick and less wasteful alternative to handing out recipe cards.
