NRDC’s Year in Reflection

In this video, narrated by Academy Award nominee and Natural Resources Defense Council member David Strathairn, the organization reflects on their environmental victories throughout 2011. With generous member support, they were able to protect the last of Alaska’s Cook Inlet Beluga whales, preserve crucial habitat in the boreal forest, shield polar bears from poachers and conserve 10 million acres of Alaskan rainforest.

NRDC has been recognized by the Wise Giving Alliance of the Better Business Bureau for meeting the highest standards for accountability and use of donor funds. Since 1970, the nonprofit has combined law, science and the support of 1.3 million members and online activists to protect the environment for all living things.
