Of Forests and Men

It’s the International Year of the Forests–and this film from Yann Arthus-Bertrand will help you both connect to the beauty of trees and understand the importance of saving them.
In just over seven minutes, the video Of Forests and Men captures both the awe-inspiring beauty of forests and the destructive practices–particularly agriculture and factory farming–that are turning land barren the world over. The film was commissioned by the United Nations to celebrate the International Year of Forests. Producer Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a renowned French photographer, journalist and environmentalist who established the world’s first press agency devoted to aerial photography (Altitude Agency) and whose aerial photographs were captured in the incredible book Earth From Above, which sold over 3 million copies and was released on DVD in 2008.
