Osprey

A documentary that follows the lives of extraordinary aquatic birds.
Osprey is an up-and-coming documentary by Connecticut-based director Jacob Steinberg. The project is centered on the narrative story of a pair of ospreys and their family returning to Long Island Sound from South America. The aquatic birds are documented as they hunt, care for their family and fly. Ospreys can be found all over the world, and their numbers are growing since the use of the harmful pesticide DDT was banned in the 1970s.

The documentary was done in partnership with the Audubon Society of Greenwich [Connecticut] and the American Birding Association. Osprey is still in the process of being funded in order to expand the project and educate a broader audience. Its Kickstarter page features an extended trailer with a message from Steinberg.

A must-see for bird lovers and environmentalists.
